Oksana Makowiec is a poet, writer, and an editor of the Ukrainian literary publication   “Verkhovyna”.

 

            She was born in 1959 and raised in the Carpathian Region of Ukraine, educated in Kyiv, and is currently residing in the State of Virginia, USA.

 

            While developing her writing skills, she has authored and published books with a collection of her poems and novels:  “Thyme by the Window” (2000), “Vines of a Cranberry Tree” (2001), “Eternity of Four Seasons” (2008), and “Songs Dedicated to Ukraine” (2005), “Poems of one summer” (2012).

 

            She is a member in good standing of the International P.E.N. Center and Ukrainian Poet and Writer Society and National Union Writers of Ukraine, and also member of Shevchenko Scientific Society in USA.

 

Oksana’s vivid and emotional vision is reflected in all of her creative work.  She is currently working on publishing her next book, of which fragments can be viewed in these novels and poems.
